Mr. Chelberg retired in 2000 as chairman and chief executive officer of Whitman Corporation, Rolling Meadows, Illinois (a diversified, multinational holding company). He is a director of Snap-On Tools Corporation and Northfield Laboratories, Inc. The board of directors has determined that Mr. Chelberg is "independent" as defined by Nasdaq's listing standards. In accordance with board policy, Mr. Chelberg submitted his resignation when he reached age 70 on August 14, 2004, but the board suspended the retirement policy as it applied to Mr. Chelberg until December 31, 2007. |
