Mr. Berger joined CARCO Group in 1995. He is responsible for the ongoing research, development, and maintenance of the company’s state-of-the-art criminal history, public record repository/vendor network, and its competitive intelligence, international lead access, legal research, and other special projects. When he assumed his position at CARCO, Mr. Berger had more than twelve years of experience in the information services and background investigation field. At CARCO, he was promoted from Special Project Manager to Director, Special Projects in 1998, and subsequently to Vice President in 1999. Mr. Berger is the CARCO representative to the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and is an active participant on the Ethics and Accreditation Committee. Mr. Berger held management positions with Equifax Services, Inc. (now Choicepoint, Inc.), in San Francisco, CA; Cincinnati, OH; Great Neck, NY, and Hartford, CT. He is a former Patrolman with the State of Connecticut. Mr. Berger received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science, from The University of New Haven, West Haven, CT. He has formal training in Total Quality Management and Process Improvement, and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). |
