Bruce E. Rosenblum is a Managing Director focused on buyout transactions in the media and telecommunications sectors. He is based in Washington, DC.
Mr. Rosenblum led Carlyle’s recent investment in PanAmSat Corporation and the restructuring of Carlyle’s investment in Videotron Telecom, Ltee. He has served as a member of the Boards of Directors of these companies and of Carlyle portfolio companies Dex Media, Inc., The Relizon Company and Rexnord Corporation. Mr. Rosenblum also chairs Carlyle’s Legal and Compliance Committee.
Prior to joining Carlyle in May 2000, Mr. Rosenblum was a Partner and Executive Committee member at Latham & Watkins, an international law firm where he practiced for 18 years specializing in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. At Latham, Mr. Rosenblum handled major transactions in the telecommunications, media, aerospace, defense, information services and other industries, including Carlyle’s acquisitions of BDM International, Vought Aircraft, Magnavox Electronic Systems, Howmet, Prime Communications and United Defense. Before joining Latham, Mr. Rosenblum served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Warren E. Burger on the U.S. Supreme Court.
