Bruce D. Nash, MD, MBA Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Bruce D. Nash, MD, MBA, joined CDPHP in July 2007 as senior vice president, medical affairs, and chief medical officer (CMO). A veteran of both health plan medical direction and hospital administration, Nash has devoted more than 20 years to health plan management and clinical practice. At CDPHP, he is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and operation of medical management, quality improvement, and resource management initiatives. In recent years, Nash served as president, North Adams Regional Hospital; vice president, medical affairs, Northern Berkshire Health System; and he had a 19-year tenure with Community Health Plan and Kaiser Permanente in Latham, New York, and Oakland, California. Nash earned a master’s of business administration in health sector management from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University; a medical degree from Albany Medical College; and a bachelor’s of science degree in biology from RPI, Troy. He completed his medical residency in family practice at Duke University, and remains a clinical assistant professor at Albany Medical College. Nash is a fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American College of Physician Executives, and the American Academy of Family Practice. |
