Bruce Hillenbrand is Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Mr. Hillenbrand is responsible for CIA marketing and public relations initiatives and strategic planning, in support of the college’s undergraduate, continuing education, and industry services programs.
Prior to joining the CIA administration in 2003, Mr. Hillenbrand was an executive with Unilever Bestfoods North America. At Unilever Bestfoods, he served as Vice President/General Manager of the dressings business unit. Before the Unilever acquisition, Mr. Hillenbrand held successive positions of increasing responsibility at Bestfoods. These included Vice President, Business Management and Vice President, Sales for Bestfoods Grocery U.S., and Vice President/General Manager of Bestfoods Grocery Canada.
Mr. Hillenbrand began his career in marketing and management at General Foods Corporation. He earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Harvard Business School, Boston, MA, and his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ.
