Practice A partner in the International Corporate Department, Mr. Palmer has been with the Firm since 1988 and has an extensive international corporate and litigation practice providing advice to U.S. and European multinationals. He also advises numerous foreign governments in connection with their official and commercial activities in Europe, the Middle East and the United States. From 1980-87, Mr. Palmer was based in Washington (1980), Riyadh (1981-85), Paris (1986) and London (1987) as a partner in Jones Day Reavis & Pogue. From 1974-1977 and 1979 he was with the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington as a legal advisor in the Office of General Counsel - International Affairs. In 1978 he was a legal advisor with the United Nations (UNCTAD) in Geneva. Mr. Palmer is admitted to the Bars of the State of Illinois and the District of Columbia.
