A. Bruce Neil was appointed the president and general manager of Doe Run Peru in September 2003. Prior to his assignment in Peru he was general manager of The Doe Run Company's Glover, MO smelter. As president and general manager of Doe Run Peru, Neil is responsible for the management of subsidiary operations in La Oroya and Cobriza, Peru. Neil has had extensive experience in the non-ferrous metallurgical smelting and custom refining industry. He previously worked for ASARCO, both at the Omaha custom lead refining facility and at the Glover, MO plant. Prior to that he worked for magnesium producer Timminco in Haley, Ontario, as well as for Noranda both in Rouyn, Quebec and Brunswick Smelting in New Brunswick. Neil is a Metallurgical Engineering graduate from Queen’s University of Kingston Ontario, Canada. |
