Britt Travis has over 22 years of experience in the Health Care and Insurance field, working closely with some of the early Medicare health plan pioneers from the Western United States. Before assuming responsibilities as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for METCARE Health Plans, Inc. he established his own consulting firm, Alternative Growth Strategies, LLC, specializing in Medicare Advantage Sales and Marketing strategy and execution.
Prior to Alternative Growth Strategies, LLC Mr. Travis worked as the National Sales Vice President for a small start up organization specializing in the outsourcing of the entire sales process for Medicare Advantage programs. As the first such organization they pioneered many of the concepts and strategies that have helped shape the new Medicare Advantage market space.
Mr. Travis briefly left the healthcare market to serve as Vice President of Business Development for a Technology Company recognized as an industry leader in the area of software integration solutions. He was responsible for Marketing Operations and Communications, and Lead Program Execution, as well as public relations, advertising, marketing communications, website management, events, sales tools and collateral creation.
Prior to Mr. Travis’ brief foray into the technology field he held senior level positions in the healthcare industry, working as VP of Government Programs, and VP of Sales and Marketing for major health plans in the California and Colorado markets. Until his recent relocation to Florida he served on the board of directors for The St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. In the past 10 years he has also served on the Governor appointed Colorado Small Employers Health Reinsurance Board, spent 6 years on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association, with the last year as board Chairman, and was a member of the Denver Foundation’s Healthcare Committee.
