Bridget Langer Smith is an associate of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. She is the Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Group’s Medicare Set-Aside Compliance Program and also practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, general liability, medical malpractice, and appellate advocacy. She has handled medicare set-aside compliance programs for companies in various industries for both workers' compensation and liability claims. Ms. Smith is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice and has successfully argued before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Smith served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dante Pellegrini of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Ms. Smith graduated from Gannon University in 1992 with a B.A. in Political Science, where she served as the Director of the Center for Social Concerns and as an adjunct faculty member teaching an introductory history course of incoming freshmen. She graduated with honors from Duquesne University in 1996 with a M.A. in Social and Public Policy and received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2000. Ms. Smith drafted grant proposals and received grant monies for the implementation of environmental service programs while working as the Director of the Center for Social Concerns. She has been active in diverse charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Emmaus House, and the Neighborhood Art House and is a graduate and member of Leadership Erie. Ms. Smith currently volunteers as an Attorney General Advocate for Operation Safe Surf, a program developed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office to teach children about Internet safety. |
