Brian Vetter brings over 20 years of experience developing enterprise software technologies deployed by many of the largest, and most demanding corporations. Prior to joining BlueSpace, Brian was the CTO and co-founder of Motive, a successful Austin based company that pioneered support and systems management delivered over the Internet. He was an early employee of Tivoli where he was one of the principal architects of Tivoli's TME object-oriented management framework and designer of Tivoli's distributed database and transaction services. After a successful IPO and acquisition by IBM, Brian left Tivoli to co-found Motive.
Before Motive and Tivoli, Brian was a software designer at Tandem Computers developing systems software for Tandem's fault tolerant Unix systems. Brian also worked at Digital Research and Statcom developing new operating and software systems for the emerging personal computer market.
Brian has a BA in Computer Science from the University of Texas and is an inventor with sixteen patents at three different companies for technology covering fault-tolerant design and configuration, enterprise scale systems and network management, and Internet-based management and technical support. |
