Brian joined Pearpoint Ltd as Technical Director in 1993 and spearheaded the development of a 34 piece range of explosion-proof CCTV camera, tractor and light-head products for use in hazardous environments. He developed the traffic camera business and produced the ‘Blue roadside ANPR camera’ for Trafficmaster, achieving over 5000 sales. Brian architected the 4channel P357 roadside ANPR recogniser with a novel hardware real-time platefinder (patent awarded). On the sale of Pearpoint he became a founding director of PIPS Technology Ltd in 2002 where within a month of start-up PIPS were awarded the TCC ANPR contract for the provision of the ‘Green roadside ANPR camera’ with roadside recognition. The P362 was then developed as the first dual IR/Colour ANPR camera for mobile applications and since it has become the standard fit for police cars nationally. The P372 ‘Spike’ integrated ANPR recogniser/camera (patent applied) is a world first in the ANPR industry. |
