Mr. Silva joined Gentiva in 2006 in his current position. From 2002 to 2006, he was senior vice president, human resources and administration and corporate secretary of Linens N' Things, Inc., the international home furnishings retailer. He joined that company as vice president, human resources in 1995 and was promoted to senior vice president and added the position of corporate secretary two years later. Previously, Mr. Silva held senior human resources positions with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, and several other organizations. He holds a bachelor's degree from St. John's University, a master's degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University and a master's degree in human resources management and labor relations from New York Institute of Technology. |
