Brian is currently responsible for First National Merchant Solutions' Customer Service, Merchant Technical Support, Chargeback and Accounting departments. Brian oversees over 100 employees and is responsible for retaining high levels of customer service to over 160,000 merchant locations, while maintaining operational efficiencies. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University with honors in 1990, Brian joined the Management Trainee program at First National Bank, where he received a solid overview of the core structure of First National. In April of 1994, Brian was promoted to Director of Product Development, after working as a product manager for an international banking project and Card Registry. In 1996, Brian joined the Merchant division as Vice President of Accounting. Brian implemented automation and process improvements that reduced overhead and resulted in a bottom-line savings to the company. Brian was active in developing a company-wide employee recognition program. Brian was promoted in 1999 and took charge of five operational departments. He oversaw the Y2K operational preparation for the business units and implemented changes that improved product offerings to customers, resulting in over $1 million savings to the company. During 1999, Brian also received his Master's of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Since the onset of the new century, Brian has served as a member of the Executive team for First National Merchant Solutions. Brian sits on the Visa Processors Roundtable and is an adjunct Professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Brian received the Light of Wellness Award in 2004 and is an active tri-athlete and marathon runner. He has two master's degrees and is a youth soccer and basketball coach. |
