Brian Reilly is a director in LECG's Chicago office where he focuses on disputes in the telecommunications industry, general commercial litigation matters, as well as valuation and damage analysis.
Prior to joining LECG, Mr. Reilly was a director at Navigant Consulting where he led the Chicago telecommunications practice group. In that role he provided strategic, analytic and litigation support expertise to clients in major telecommunications regulatory and civil cases.
Mr. Reilly has over twenty years of business experience in telecommunications and has gained business development, corporate strategy, litigation support, marketing, regulatory affairs, information systems, project management, and leadership skills. His experience enables him to provide insights into the competitive dynamics and the key business and legal issues driving the communications industry. Mr. Reilly's consulting work has centered on providing strategic, analytic, and litigation support expertise to clients in several major telecommunications regulatory and civil cases. His consulting work in regulatory matters has included issues such as the FCC Triennial Review Order state regulatory litigation, complex service quality proceedings, rulemakings and investigations, as well as significant discovery work. He has also focused on industry business plan assumptions, research, and complex modeling, network investment and process issues, access charges, alternative forms of regulation such as price caps, as well as financial benchmarks relative to other industries. Mr. Reilly has also led long-term engagements regarding discovery methods and procedures and system tools that enable heavily regulated firms to be more efficient and consistent regarding production and discovery responses.
In civil litigation matters, Mr. Reilly has served as an expert witness at deposition and trial and used his expertise in several valuation and damages contexts, spanning matters in operator services, long distance, information provider, and wireless cable industry segments. He has also focused on practical and theoretical issues regarding breach of contract damages, solvency analysis, and network service arrangements and infrastructure damage, such as cable cuts.
Prior to his consulting practice, Mr. Reilly managed corporate strategy and business development issues at Ameritech Corporation. In this capacity, Brian gained extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry. |
