Brian Nickel serves as our executive vice president and chief financial officer and is a member of our board of directors. Prior to assuming the role of CFO in May of 2005, he served as our executive vice president and chief investment officer, directing the company's activities in the areas of acquisitions, development and third-party services. Mr. Nickel joined the company in June 1996 as the director of business development and has progressively contributed to the growth of the company, serving in various capacities including director of acquisitions, vice president of acquisitions, vice president of on-campus development, and senior vice president of development until October 2003. Prior to joining ACC, he held positions in the investment banking firm of Kidder, Peabody Company and with the corporate finance group of LaSalle Partners. Mr. Nickel received a B.S. in Economics from Northwestern University. |
