Brian founded Stratagem in 1988 and has more than 20 years of investment banking experience focused on the software and Internet markets. Prior to founding Stratagem, Brian was the lead software analyst at Robertson, Stephens & Company. During his tenure at Robertson, he served all areas of the firm, including the investment banking, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital divisions. Before Robertson, Brian served as the lead analyst covering the software and other technology fields at Waddell and Reed, a publicly traded group of mutual funds with over $22 billion under management. Prior to Waddell and Reed, Brian was an examiner at the Federal Reserve in St. Louis. Brian holds an M.A. in the Economics of Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter, England and a B.Sc. in Accounting and Economics from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a Rotary Fellow and holds the CFA charter.
