Brian Long co-founded Parthus Technologies plc in 1993 and served as its CEO for nine years until 2002. During that time, he led the successful Initial Public Offering of the company on both the LSE and NASDAQ stock markets. In 2002, he completed the successful merger of the company with the digital signal processing division of DSP Group to form CEVA Inc., the leading licensor of DSP technology in the industry. Until the formation of GloNav, he served as a director on the CEVA Board of Directors and was a member of the company strategy committee. He has more than 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry. Before founding Parthus, he was the chief design engineer with AT&T and later held corporate responsibility for mixed-signal technology developments at Digital Equipment Corp. Brian is the named inventor on a number of U.S. and European IC patents. Brian serves on the board of the National Microelectronics Research Centre Ireland and is a member of the Irish Research Council for Science Engineering and Technology. He was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year for technology in 2000. He holds an undergraduate and master's degree in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. In addition to GloNav, Brian is on the Board of Firecomms and Nanotech Semiconductor. |
