Brian Little was named vice president and assistant controller in February 2008. Primary among his responsibilities is accounting services for SouthStar, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance, PeopleSoft functional support, technical accounting research and external financial reporting. Little’s focus has been on facilitating and supporting process improvements, including the meter-to-cash business process outsourcing (BPO) transition at SouthStar and revenue processes for our utility operations.
Little joined AGL Resources in 1998 and has served the company in a variety of roles including director, corporate accounting, and director, investor relations, in addition to his current role as assistant controller.
Prior to joining AGL Resources, Little worked for American Business Products Inc. He was with the company only a year before being promoted from supervising senior auditor to audit manager. His responsibilities consisted of planning, performing and managing integrated internal audits and information systems general control reviews of the Company’s subsidiaries and divisions. Little also held senior auditor positions at CITGO Petroleum Corporation and in public accounting with Stanfield & O’Dell, P.C., both in Tulsa.
Little is an active member of the community, serving on the finance committees of AID Atlanta and the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia, Inc.
Little is a graduate of the University of Texas where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 1988. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1990.
