Brian Hale is Senior Managing Director and President, Consumer Markets Division (CMD), of Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., a subsidiary of Countrywide Financial Corporation (NYSE: CFC), a diversified financial services provider and member of the S&P 500.
In this position, Hale is responsible for all activities of Countrywide's retail lending division. He provides leadership and direction for the division's three production units: the rapidly expanding Distributed Retail branch network, Business to Consumer, and Strategic Business Alliances. He also provides management oversight for all business units that support the division, including finance, operations, secondary marketing, risk, compliance, technology, human resources, marketing, training and communications.
Hale has more than 29 years of experience in the mortgage and financial industries. He most recently served as CMD's Managing Director and Chief Production Officer, with leadership responsibilities for production, operations and sales support. His career with Countrywide began as Executive Vice President of National Production.
Prior to joining Countrywide in 2001, Hale served as a Sales Executive for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and held sales and operations positions at Fleet Mortgage Corporation and Household Finance. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York, at Plattsburg.
