Brian Gardiner is second-generation lineman, who brought 20 years of industry experience with him when he joined Midwest Electric in June 2005 as a General Foreman in the utility division.In his position, Brian manages several crews performing construction and maintenance of distribution, substation and transmission lines for Midwest Electric’s large industrial customers, and is responsible for customer interaction and ensuring optimum customer service.He also supervises crews performing storm restoration in and outside of the company’s primary service territory. During the busy 2005 hurricane season, he supervised crews restoring power to consumers and businesses in the South.In addition to his stellar safety record no crew member has ever had an electrical related injury on the job Brian has been successful in maintaining his crews. He is a hands-on manager, mentoring junior linemen and providing instruction and assistance when needed.Brian received his training through the American Line Builders Apprenticeship and Training Program (ALBAT). He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 1393, where his father is also a member and serves as assistant business manager.The father of two sons and one daughter, Brain’s hobbies include restoring automobiles. |
