Brian founded Eventful in January 2004, because there was no service on the web that helped him really know about all the events going on in San Diego at the time, and he was tired of finding out about cool events after the fact. So, he started a company with the desire to be its first customer, and hopefully in the process help bring the web into the 21st century in terms of event discovery. Previously, he was founding Director of eBay Design Labs at eBay, Inc., where his focus was on managing the overall user experience of the eBay site. Other management stints include Eazel, Inc., MP3.com, RealNetworks, Flatworks, and Coconut Computing, the latter of which he founded in 1987 and sold in 1995. Brian sent his first email in 1979 and has been waiting for a reply ever since. At Eventful, Brian's focus areas include company vision, product strategy, product design, user success, and business development. |
