Brian Burden, Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for all financial policy, planning and reporting, as well as tax, treasury and risk management planning and implementation.
Mr. Burden joined TransAlta in 2005 after having worked for over 28 years in increasingly senior finance executive positions in both North America and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer of Molson, Inc.
Prior to this, Mr Burden held several senior executive positions with Diageo PLC, a global alcoholic beverage company that produces and markets an unrivalled portfolio of leading brands of whisky, spirits, wines and beers.
Mr. Burden has a diploma in business studies from Rotherham College and is a member of the Associated Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the United Kingdom. |
