Brian Batease
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Mr. Batease is responsible for the management of a number of corporate efforts, including daily operations, engineering, manufacturing, materials management, logistics and facilities, and quality. In addition, he contributes substantially to the development of the company's customer base and revenue growth and maintains disciplined execution of the steps and communication between product conception, development and distribution.
Mr. Batease joined Lightspace Corporation as VP Manufacturing & Operations in 2006 and made an immediate impact on the company’s process and procedures, cost control, manufacturing relations and overall operational health. As a result of these accomplishments, Mr. Batease was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2007. With over 20 years of operational experience, Mr. Batease is a proven executive.
Prior to joining Lightspace Mr. Batease held the positions of Chief Operations Officer at True To Form Lighting where he reduced inventory by $1 million dollars and increased inventory turns from 6 to 24 turns annually. Before True to Form, Mr. Batease held the position of Head of Manufacturing at City Theatrical Inc where he increased inventory turns from 7 to 18 times annually. He came to City Theatrical Inc from Electronic Theatre Controls. As VP of Manufacturing as ETC, he was responsible for $5 million dollars worth of cost savings annually through negotiated contracts and vertical integration of several production processes and Electronic Theatre Controls.
In each of his roles he was responsible for multi-site manufacturing, assembly and distribution operations as well as strategic and tactical business planning and staff development. |
