Brian Banks was named Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, CBS Paramount Network Television in September 2004. He reports to David Stapf, President, CBS Paramount Network Television. In his position, Banks oversees the development and creation of all primetime comedy series. He was part of the team responsible for developing the critically-acclaimed series "Everybody Hates Chris," which was the most-watched comedy premiere in the history of UPN and the new comedy "The Game," both for The CW.
Previously, Banks was Vice President, Comedy Series, CBS Productions, where he played an integral role building the CBS's in-house production arm into one of the top suppliers of Network programming. In his position, he oversaw both current programming and development, working on some of CBS's most successful comedies including "King of Queens," "Yes Dear," "Still Standing" and UPN's "Half and Half." |
