Brian has more than 12 years of experience in corporate turnaround, bankruptcy, loan workouts, financial advisory, and corporate finance. Prior to joining Huron Consulting Group, Brian worked at Comdisco Ventures Group as part of the management team and managed relationships with many accounts. He was previously a Director in Arthur Andersen LLP's Corporate Restructuring practice.
Professional Experience
Brian’s experience has been in a wide variety of industries including transportation, shipping, airline, financial services, leasing, auto parts, textiles, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare and technology. Most recently, he has worked in the airline sector where he worked to successfully launch Delta Air Lines, Inc. into Chapter 11 proceedings and worked with ATA Airlines throughout much of their Chapter 11 proceedings.
Brian has extensive experience in most facets of bankruptcies, including: preparing companies for potential filings; advising management on appropriate courses of action; negotiating with Creditors, Debtors and Customers; consulting in areas of bankruptcy law, including statutory requirements and company operations in Chapter 11; financial modeling; preparing budgets; and preparing communications with internal and external parties.
Brian’s extensive experience in corporate turnarounds includes: developing overall strategy; preparing and analyzing cash flows; reducing costs, both devising strategy and implementing; assessing customer and product profitability; liquidating inventory; restructuring debt; restructuring operations; and preparing communications with internal and external parties.
