Brian P. Beaty is an Associate Director in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group. His concentration is in real estate valuation and consulting. He is licensed as a certified general real estate appraiser in Michigan, California and New York. Mr. Beaty s real estate valuation and consulting experience includes assignments completed for local and national clients for a variety of purposes including financing, estate and gift taxation, proposed developments, purchase price allocation, litigation and property insurance placement purposes. Mr. Beaty has over ten years of experience in the appraisal industry. He has appraised numerous property types, including office, industrial, retail, multi-family complexes, health care, vacant land, mountaintop telecommunication facilities, avocado farms , subway tunnel easements and easements for a trans-Pacific fiber optic cable. Mr. Beaty also has extensive experience in the valuation of easements, and both full and partial takings for eminent domain purposes. Mr. Beaty has completed feasibility and marketability studies, market analyses, highest and best use studies, and market rental rate determinations. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Beaty was a senior appraiser at Terzo & Bologna Inc., in Livonia. Prior to that, he owned and operated his own appraisal firm based in Manhattan Beach, California. Mr. Beaty earned a BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute with the MAI designation and has served on committees on the local level.
