Brian Unruh is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Dotster, Inc., one of the first accredited and most trusted providers of affordable domain registration, web hosting packages and services on the Web today.
Unruh joined Dotster in March 2005 as CFO and his responsibilities include finance, accounting, human resources, legal, and corporate services for the company. He brings to Dotster over 20 years of professional expertise in global finance, accounting, tax and corporate operations.
Prior to joining Dotster, Unruh was Vice President Accounting and Treasury at Merant Plc., a $125 million global enterprise software business, where he was responsible for all aspects of worldwide accounting, external reporting, corporate governance, central accounting operations, treasury management, global tax, legal structure, and risk management. Unruh was part of the executive team turn-around of Merant, bringing it to profitability by eliminating $80 million of annual losses and its successful acquisition by Serena Software for $380 million.
Before that, Unruh was Vice President, Corporate Controller at InFocus Corporation. During his tenure, Unruh held the duties of finance and accounting management including legal structure, treasury, IT-finance systems, and investor relations support. Earlier, Unruh served in several executive finance and accounting roles at Tektronix. Prior to that, Unruh served in various global tax and business advisory roles for Ernst & Young LLP.
Unruh earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (accounting) from Oregon State University, became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and later earned certification in Essentials of General Management from Oregon Graduate Institute. |
