Mr. Smith joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1997, as manager of Mergers and Acquisitions for the Latin America Group. In that capacity, he was responsible for bottler and brand transactions in Latin America, and helped formulate and execute system franchise strategies.
From July 2001 until July 2002, Mr. Smith was executive assistant to Brian Dyson, who was vice chairman and COO of the Company during that time. He was appointed president of the Brazil Division in August 2002.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Mr. Smith worked for Andersen Consulting, as a senior manager in their Strategic Services Group.
Mr. Smith has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
