Mr. Kennedy assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors in January 2007, and has served on the Board since 1996. Mr. Kennedy has been active in the gold industry since 1981. Mr. Kennedy was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Gold, Inc, since 1996, where he guided Meridian Gold Inc. through a successful secondary offering of shares that resulted in the independence of FMC Gold from its former parent company, FMC Corporation. Mr. Kennedy holds a BS degree from the US Naval Academy and an MBA from Harvard University. |
