Brian Farrell is president and CEO of THQ one of the fastest growing interactive entertainment software publishers in the world. Under his leadership THQ reported record revenues of $757 million and record net income of $63 million in its fiscal year ended March 31 2005. Fiscal 2005 marks the Company's tenth consecutive year of net sales growth since Farrell became CEO in 1995 with a ten-year compound annual revenue growth rate of 36%. Farrell has grown THQ's global marketing and sales force to directly serve more than 75 countries worldwide with offices in the United States United Kingdom Germany France Spain Australia and Korea. His tenure at THQ also includes the expansion of the Company's internal development network to more than 900 people at 10 studiosTM both from organic growth and several strategic studio acquisitions including Relic® Entertainment Rainbow Studios and Volition Inc.®. THQ also holds a minority interest in wrestling game developer Yuke's Co. Ltd. of Japan. Farrell has guided THQ to market leadership in the popular mass-market gaming genres with some of the industry's best-known licenses including Disney/Pixar Nickelodeon World Wrestling EntertainmentTM Scooby-Doo! and many more of the entertainment industry's biggest brands. At the same time the Company is enhancing its product offering with original content such as Destroy All Humans!TM Full Spectrum WarriorTM ; JuicedTM MX UnleashedTM and TakTM. Farrell has served as chairman of the Entertainment Software Association the industry's trade association. He has also served as co-chairman of the industry's charitable foundation which raised over $2.8 million for children's charities in its first three years. Farrell serves as chairman of the Price Center for Entrepreneurial studies at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Farrell joined THQ in April 1991 as vice president chief financial officer and treasurer and was elected to his current position in January 1995. Prior to joining THQ he was vice president and chief financial officer of Hotel Investors Trust a New York Stock Exchange company. Previously he was employed by Deloitte & Touche LLP. Farrell holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California Los Angeles. |
