Mr. Gentner is a Shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and a member of the Real Estate Group. Based in the firm’s Orange County office, his primary focus is in the areas of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development and finance. Mr. Gentner also represents a major Brownfield developer's California projects. Mr. Gentner has more than 20 years of experience in real estate acquisition, development and finance. He was previously the vice president and general counsel of Simpson Housing Solutions (SHS), a wholly-owned division of Denver-based Simpson Housing. In this capacity, he was responsible for the oversight of all legal matters affecting SHS as well as the delivery of legal services to project, construction and property management personnel as needed to promote and facilitate the company’s affordable housing business, conducted in 34 states. Prior to joining SHS, he worked for Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, handling a variety of development and finance matters, including the development of low-income housing. Mr. Gentner was also a member of Chevron Corporation’s legal department for 18 years, where he served as associate general counsel for Chevron Land and Development Company in Southern California and general counsel of Coto de Caza, Ltd., developer of Chevron's master planned community in Southern California. |
