Connor brings to OmniSonics more than 20 years of product development experience in the medical device industry. Most recently he served as Director of Research & Development at HydroCision, Inc., a developer of surgical instruments based on novel fluidjet technology. His responsibilities at HydroCision focused on the development of devices for sports medicine and spine injury. Prior to HydroCision, Connor held leadership roles in the development of ultrasound transducers at Hewlett-Packard's Imaging Systems Division (now part of Philips Medical Systems.) He successfully led the development and subsequent release of multiple transducers in the cardiovascular market, with significant business impact in both the transthoracic and transesophageal applications. Earlier he contributed to the initial total artificial heart design at Abiomed, Inc.
Connor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Northeastern University. |
