Johnson started with Hormel Foods in 1995 as a corporate attorney. He was promoted to senior attorney in 2000. In 2005, he was promoted to assistant secretary, and was promoted to corporate secretary in 2007.Prior to joining Hormel Foods, Johnson practiced law with Doherty, Rumble & Butler, P.A.
He graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1983 with a bachelor of science degree, cum laude, with majors in accounting, finance and real estate/insurance, and minors in economics and political science. Johnson earned designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 1984, and graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif with a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1991.
Johnson volunteers in the local community and church, serving on the finance committee for his church. He also served several years on the Austin City Planning Commission, acting as Chair in 2000 through 2006. |
