Mr. Brian Jones is a Vice President in the Seattle office of Duff & Phelps, LLC. Mr. Jones has been with Duff & Phelps since September 2001. Prior to Duff & Phelps, Mr. Jones was a Senior Associate in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Corporate Value Consulting Practice. Mr. Jones had been with PwC since January 2000. Prior to PwC, Mr. Jones was a consultant for a business valuation firm based in Arizona, and a derivative marketing consultant for EDF & Man Group in Chicago.
Mr. Jones has experience in the identification, valuation, and determination of the remaining economic useful life of intangible assets including, patented and unpatented technology, software, non-compete and employment agreements, licenses, customer relationships, contracts, trademarks and trade names, and assembled workforces.
Mr. Jones specializes in performing purchase price allocations and business enterprise valuations for business combinations and has experience with SEC expectations and procedures regarding purchase price allocations. He is well versed with current FAS 141 and 142 statements regarding business combinations and impairment testing.
Mr. Jones has significant experience in valuing covenants not-to-compete for IRC Section 280G as well as working with corporations in the interactive commerce industry.
Mr. Jones holds a B.S in Economics from Oregon State and a M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology. Mr. Jones is a candidate member of the ASA. |
