Brian C. Connolly, Executive Vice President, Global Sales Strategy, is responsible for driving the company’s direct-selling strategies as a source of continuing competitive advantage. His oversight extends across the company’s international markets, where Avon is rolling out Sales Leadership, a multi-level earnings opportunity program which launched in the U.S. in 1999.
A 27-year veteran of Avon, Mr. Connolly has held increasingly senior level positions in the U.S. sales organization and finance. He played a key role in the early stages of Sales Leadership in the U.S.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Connolly was Executive Vice President and President, Avon North America, where he oversaw an operating unit with $2.5 billion in sales. He also led Avon’s strategies in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Mr. Connolly was instrumental in the launch of mark, Avon’s brand for young women, which was introduced in the Fall of 2003.
Mr. Connolly joined the U.S. sales organization in 1989. He joined Avon’s finance department in 1978 as an analyst, and held positions in finance before moving to sales.
Mr. Connolly is a former Chairman and current member of the Direct Selling Association Board of Directors. He is also a Director of the Avon Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Connolly is Founder and Chairman of the Spirit of Independence Program for physically challenged students.
Mr. Connolly graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in Accounting. |
