Brian A. Bernasek is a Principal focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the automotive and transportation sector. He has been integrally involved in several Carlyle investments, including The Hertz Corporation, AxleTech International and Rexnord Corporation. He is based in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2000, Mr. Bernasek was an Associate in the Corporate Investment area of Investcorp International, a global private equity firm. Previously, Mr. Bernasek worked in Morgan Stanley's investment banking division where he executed corporate finance and acquisition-related transactions for clients across a broad range of industries.
Mr. Bernasek is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Hertz Corporation and AxleTech International. |
