A principal at LECG, Brett A. Margolin provides economic analyses in commercial litigation. He has particular expertise in the application of business valuation principles and economic theory in corporate governance and bankruptcy matters, including fair value analyses in appraisal actions and solvency analyses in fraudulent conveyance and preference actions. His practice also encompasses the evaluation of lost profits, price erosion, and reasonably royalty damages, with specific application to intellectual property matters. Dr. Margolin has testified in a number of state and federal jurisdictions, including the Delaware Court of Chancery. In addition to published papers and articles in the fields of valuation and economic damages, he has written and presented a number of legal education courses on financial analysis, valuation, and economic damages.
Prior to joining LECG, Dr. Margolin performed economic analyses at a regional economics consulting firm and the litigation services section of an international accounting and consulting firm. Dr. Margolin earned his doctorate in economics at George Mason University where he was Mary and Gordon Cain Fellow. |
