Mr. Johnson counsels clients in employment matters and represents parties in employment litigation. He has represented clients in numerous charges of employment discrimination before the E.E.O.C. and similar state agencies, and in lawsuits in state and federal courts. Mr. Johnson routinely advises clients on employment law compliance issues and litigation prevention. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Johnson served as the Co-Chairman of the Colorado Bar Association Labor Law Forum Committee. He is a frequent speaker at employment law seminars and has authored many papers on employment law issues, some of which are available on the Firm's web site. Mr. Johnson also has substantial experience in general commercial litigation and appeals, representing clients in real estate litigation, contract law, and other commercial disputes. He has handled arbitration proceedings before the NASD and the American Arbitration Association and has participated in many mediations. Mr. Johnson is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He has practiced continuously with Fairfield and Woods since graduating from law school. He served on the Firm's Executive Committee from 2003-07. Mr. Johnson was born in Denver, Colorado in 1954. In his spare time he enjoys back-country skiing, yoga, computers, and hiking. He is an active board member of The Yoga Group, a Colorado non-profit charity. |
