Our Indianapolis-based team is one of the nations leading recruiting firms. We solve staffing problems for leading pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics and medical device companies worldwide.
In 1983, Brenda Patterson joined Management Recruiters International (MRI). In her first year she earned National Rookie of the Year, and went on to earn Pacesetter status for the next 13 consecutive years. Brenda earned CSAM status (Certified Sr. Account Manager, MRI’s equivalent to CPC). After five years of recruiting with MRI, Brenda was promoted to General Manager where she grew the branch from 6 to 15 recruiters.
In 1999 Brenda left MRI and founded J&K Executive Search. Since then, Brenda has built the company into a leading executive search firm serving the needs of the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries. She chose these areas of specialization in an effort to help advance the healthcare of patients for a very personal reason. In 1994, her daughter, Katelin, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, and literally wouldn't be here today if it were not for the advancements of pharmaceutical and biotech companies. In 2006 her son, Jake, was diagnosed with Type I diabetes. A recent client of Brenda's said "evangelists make great recruiters," a truth you'll quickly agree with once you observe her passion and commitment to better the lives of patients throughout the world by providing the most important ingredient to the success of any organization - human capital.
In March 2004 Brenda purchased a franchise from Global Recruiters Network and now owns J&K Executive Search, Inc. dba GRN of Indianapolis. Her staff consists of project teams of recruiters who can immediately make an impact on their client's staffing issues.
Brenda is the President of the Indiana Search and Staffing Association (ISSA). She is also a member of HBA (Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association), US-Recruiters Network, NAWBO (National Association Women Business Owners), RAPS (Regulatory Affairs Professional Society), DIA (Drug Information Association), Indiana Health Industry Association (IHIA), and most importantly on the Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
In her spare time, Brenda raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. Her fundraising activities include an annual golf outing, a Guys and Dolls event, Breath of Spring black tie dinner and a walk.
Brenda is a single mom and lives in Indianapolis with her 18 year old daughter, Katelin and her 17 year old son, Jake.
