Brandon Lobb focuses on energy, technology transactions and corporate political compliance. Listed in The Best Lawyers in America, he represents companies in wholesale energy transactions on master trading agreements for the sale of power, natural gas and other energy commodities and has represented companies in structuring energy transactions whereby parties use assets to satisfy posting requirements under master trading agreements. He has represented companies in the purchase or sale of energy to retail consumers in ERCOT and other jurisdictions, involving office buildings, restaurants, hospitals, military bases and numerous petrochemical facilities. Mr. Lobb has also represented a client in the development of an ethanol plant, 575 MW co-generation power plant, in the purchase of district energy facilities, in the purchase of wind farms, in the acquisition of multiple portfolios of retail gas and power contracts. As part of his development efforts, he has participated in the negotiation of agreements related to construction and operational agreements related to such various energy facilities. In his technology practice, Mr. Lobb has assisted companies in the development of master software licensing agreements, contracts for telecommunications services as well as software development efforts. Mr. Lobb has represented a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier in all facets of its business, including Indefeasible Rights of Use, master services contracts, settlements with an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier, rights of way agreements, and purchase of equipment. He also represented an online mortgage brokerage in expansion, regulatory, business issues and alliance agreements, and reseller agreements. In Mr. Lobb’s commercial transactions practice, he has developed the form of retail customer contracts in industries ranging from telecommunications and computer integration services to the provision of industrial gases. In addition, he represents corporations in their compliance efforts with regard to corporate political action committees before the Federal Election Commission and the Texas Ethics Commission.
