Originally drafted in the seventh round (201st overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, spent all 16 games of his rookie season as a game day inactive. Released by the Chargers and signed to the Patriots practice squad in 2002. Made his NFL debut for the Patriots in 2003, playing in six regular season games and two playoff games. Traded to the Cardinals for a sixth-round draft pick on 8/21/06.
2006: Acquired by the Cardinals on 8/21/06 in a trade with the New England Patriots for a sixth-round draft pick … DNP in season opener vs. SF (9/10) … inactive for the next four contests … DNP vs. Chi (10/16) … inactive for the final 10 games.
2005: Started the final eight regular-season games and both playoff appearances for the Patriots at right tackle part of an offensive line that allowed just 28 sacks earned his first start of the season at right tackle @ Mia (11/13).
2004: A mainstay on an offensive line that paved the way for Corey Dillon to set the Patriots’ single-season rushing record with 1,635 yards played in a career-high 14 games while making 10 starts at right tackle started all three playoff games, including the Super Bowl XXXIX victory, at right tackle.
2003: Played in six games and participated in New England’s first two playoff games made his NFL debut vs. NYG (10/12) saw action on special teams in five other contests.
2002: Released by San Diego on 8/27 signed to the Patriots practice squad on 9/5 where he spent the entire season.
2001: Listed as a game day inactive for all 16 games with the Chargers.
College:
Three-year starter at right tackle for Purdue helped the Boilermakers offense average over 450 yards of offense in his 39 career starts started every game at right tackle as a senior while the offensive line surrendered only seven sacks in 473 pass attempts earned All-Big Ten Conference Academic honors as a sophomore moved to the offensive line after beginning his career on the defensive line.

Full name Brandon Michael Gorin earned first team all-state honors as a defensive tackle at Southside (Muncie, IN) High School participated on the school’s nationally ranked basketball team and competed in track and field as a discus thrower ranked second in his high school graduating class with a 3.8 GPA married to wife Julie, the couple have a son, Cameron Gorin. |
