Real Estate Transactions
Mr. Fergerson is a member of the Corporate Department and Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Fergerson handles a variety of commercial real estate development, financing, land use, construction, and leasing matters. Mr. Fergerson represents various local and regional developers for projects in the Kansas City area, as well as nationally. Such representation includes office, industrial, retail, multi-family and mixed use developments with both national and local developers. His role in such projects include land acquisition, rezoning, economic incentives, development and leasing for build-to-suit transactions, office and industrial parks and shopping centers throughout the region and on a nationwide basis. He also handles landlord and tenant representation for commercial and industrial leases. Mr. Fergerson has an active development and land use practice including work with various municipalities and state officials in numerous jurisdictions.
Mr. Fergerson further represents various banks and lending institutions for real estate loans on a local, regional and national basis. Mr. Fergerson represents nationally recognized retail chains in regards to all real estate acquisition matters and also represents residential home owners and associations in regards to problematic neighborhood issues. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fergerson served as general counsel for an international development company that successfully developed numerous retail, residential, and hotel projects throughout Europe.
