Brandon concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring. Brandon's practice centers on all matters pertaining to bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy insolvency issues, with a focus on corporate restructuring and work-outs. Brandon also practices in the areas of commercial and general litigation. During law school, Brandon was an Associate with the Louisiana Law Review. Brandon is the author of "What's the Matter with Zedda: Problems with the Analysis of What Constitutes an Avoidable Interest of the Debtor in Property," 58 La. L. Rev. 1259 (1998). Brandon has also authored numerous seminar papers, which have been presented nationally at continuing legal education seminars, which deal with a wide range of topics, including, among many others, sovereign immunity in the bankruptcy context, bankruptcy crimes and discharge issues. Prior to joining the firm, Brandon clerked for the Honorable Louis M. Phillips, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana, July 2000 to May 2002, and the Honorable Douglas D. Dodd, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana, May 2002 to July 2002. |
