Mr. McGowan is responsible for business development, deal origination and marketing client transactions to institutional investors. Prior to joining Legend, he was a Managing Director at Jefferies & Co. where he marketed the firm’s research and corporate deal flow and worked closely with the Healthcare/Biotech Banking Group, the Defense & Homeland Security Group - Quarterdeck Investment Partners and Broadview Technology Banking Group. He is a founding partner of MLI Ventures, which provides strategic management, consulting and development assistance to early-stage companies with an emphasis on technology and life sciences while utilizing the resources at New Jersey Institute of Technology, UMDNJ, and Stevens Institute of Technology, all hubs of technology research and bio-engineering in the tri-state region. Mr. McGowan earned an Executive MBA in Finance at the Stern Business School at New York University and served as his class President two years in a row. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Lehigh University and is a current member of the Lehigh University Alumni Board of Directors. Mr. McGowan holds Series 7, 63 and 65 Registrations. |
