Mr. Gross is Chair of the Business Technology Law Group. He concentrates his practice in areas such as strategic outsourcing transactions, Application Service Provider ("ASP")-related issues, e-banking regulations and litigation, Internet fraud, intellectual property, Internet privacy, and breaches of technology trade secrets. Mr. Gross is also experienced in a variety of legal issues relating to computers, the Internet and electronic business. He has represented clients in areas such as venture capital arrangements, Web hosting & co-location contracts, technology related non-disclosure agreements and software code licensing agreements. He has also counseled celebrities with regard to various Internet-related issues including intellectual property on the Web. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County's Economic Crimes Division, where he founded that office's Special Investigation Unit for Internet and Computer Fraud. Prior to coming to Florida, he was an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney in Nassau County, New York where he prosecuted computer criminals and hackers. Publications Brad is also a frequently syndicated contributor to publications such as the Daily Business Reviews of Florida, The Florida Lawyer, the Miami Herald, and the Sun-Sentinel newspaper. Activities & Memberships He is the only attorney to hold a position on the Best Practices Committee of the Application Service Provider Industry Consortium, a worldwide industry group that focus on issues related to outsourcing and application service providers. Mr. Gross was a member and subject matter expert for Governor Bush's Internet Task Force, a high level policymaking committee charged with making recommendations to the Governor and Florida Legislature on legislation to prevent cyber crimes, promote internet usage and encourage the development of e-commerce in Florida. |
