Mr. Forrester is responsible for overseeing all investment, development and operational activities of ConAm. He is actively involved in maintaining existing client relationships and developing new capital and fee management relationships for ConAm. Additionally, Mr. Forrester oversees the day-to-day administration of the company through the financial reporting, asset management, legal and human resources functions.
Along with the chairman of ConAm, Mr. Forrester is involved in establishing the strategic direction of the company and is responsible for the allocation and organization of personnel in order to meet the firm’s goals and objectives.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Forrester served as executive vice president of ConAm and was responsible for new business activities and corporate administration. Before joining ConAm in 1994, he was senior vice president-real estate for First Nationwide Bank in San Francisco for three years, overseeing a $2 billion portfolio of ‘problem’ commercial loans and real estate located throughout the United States. From 1990 to 1991, he served as vice president of American Real Estate Group, managing the liquidation of a $1.3 billion portfolio of ‘problem’ commercial loans located throughout the United States.
Mr. Forrester’s prior experience includes five years as senior vice president-real estate for GSC Realty Corporation in Dallas where he was involved in the development and financing of multifamily projects, including over $100 million of tax-exempt bond financed properties. Through his employment with Club Corporation of America from 1982 to 1985, he also has experience in the acquisition and development of private city, country and athletic clubs around the country. Mr. Forrester began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1979, directing audits of small and medium-size public and private companies.
Mr. Forrester received his bachelor of science, cum laude, in accounting from Louisiana State University in 1979 where he was an LSU Alumni Federation Top 100 Scholar. He received his certified public accountant designation from the State of Texas.
Mr. Forrester is a director of the National Multi Housing Council and National Association of Home Builders (Multi-Family Leadership Board). He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Young Presidents’ Organization and the San Diego State University Real Estate Advisory Board. |
