Robert Bobby Patrick is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at GXS. In this role, Mr. Patrick oversees the strategic direction and positioning of GXS, including corporate strategy, global marketing, product development and corporate communications. Since Mr. Patrick joined GXS, the company has earned leadership distinction in Gartner’s coveted Magic Quadrant and Forrester Research’s Forrester Wave.
Mr. Patrick focuses on boosting GXS and its new Trading Grid® integration services platform as the strategic foundation for global business-to-business integration, synchronization and collaboration. In 2004, he led the formation of a strategic alliance with webMethods to inject new technology into the Trading Grid and strengthen the portfolio of each company’s solutions. In 2006, Microsoft named GXS Trading Grid as its recommended B2B network worldwide, as part of a broader strategic partnership he orchestrated between the two companies.
Mr. Patrick joins GXS after serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Digex, Incorporated, acquired by MCI in 2003. Prior to that position, Mr. Patrick held a variety of senior management roles at Digex, including Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Product Management. Mr. Patrick was successful in earning category leadership distinctions in Gartner’s Web hosting industry magic quadrant for three years in a row. He also consummated key strategic deals, such as a $100 million investment from Microsoft and Compaq.
Before joining Digex in 1996, Mr. Patrick was a Senior Consultant for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and a Senior Computer Specialist for the FBI.
Mr. Patrick is a frequent speaker at industry events, including recent keynote presentations at China 2005 CEO/CIO Summit, EDIFICE 20th anniversary, ECR Asia, Integration World, Retail Systems, and UConnect 2005 and 2006.
Mr. Patrick holds a bachelor of science degree in Management Information Systems from George Mason University. |
