Bobby has more than 27 years of experience most recently with StorageTek where as the Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) he helped orchestrate StorageTek’s acquisition by Sun Microsystems in a $4.1 billion deal. During his tenure he was the primary interface to the financial analyst community while he directed and managed the financial planning for the global operations of a $2 billion business. He was instrumental in developing corporate strategic plans successfully implementing effective internal controls over financial reporting in line with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and drove significant financial improvements since his appointment as the CFO in 1998. He has a broad background in operational administrative and international financial management and through his leadership has a proven track record at driving value through increased operating margins debt reduction and consistent earnings growth.
Prior to his role as CFO Bobby worked in various roles at StorageTek including Director of Finance for Business Operations Director of Finance for Worldwide Field Operations and Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning. Prior to StorageTek he worked for Documation Corporation and General Motors in various positions.
Bobby received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University. He was an Academic All-American in baseball at Mississippi State and participated in the College World Series. Bobby also has an MBA from Florida Technology University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
He currently serves as a Board Member for the Alliant Group Copan Systems and Avista Adventist Hospital. He is also a member of the Executive Fellows Council for the Daniels Business College at the University of Denver. |
