Bobbi J. Bierhals is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. As a member of the Firm’s Private Client Department, Bobbi focuses her practice on tax and business planning for clients of significant wealth, including the structuring of tax-advantageous solutions for transferring wealth and closely-held business interests to younger generations. Bobbi advises clients with regard to gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, succession planning, and charitable and probate administration. Her clientele includes public and private corporations and their executives and shareholders, trust beneficiaries, trusts, estates and not-for-profit organizations.
Bobbi's undergraduate degree is in economics and international relations. While at Harvard, she served as a member of the Board of Student Advisers and taught a section of the first-year core curriculum course on legal writing. Bobbi is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
