Bob Smith: Director, Embedded-Developer Bob is the Chief Technical Director of Embedded Developer. Following positions as Design Engineer for General Instrument Company in the UK, Faselec in Zurich, Switzerland, and Intermettal in Freiburg, Germany, Bob joined Motorola in Geneva Switzerland in the early 80’s. Following positions as Sr. Design Engineer in East Kilbride, Scotland and Director of MCU Design in Hong Kong, Bob finally settled in Motorola’s Corporate Headquarters in Austin Texas, where he served in various Technical roles including CSIC Design Manager, and Design Manager for the MCU Core Technology Center. After leaving Motorola, Bob joined TechOnLine as VP of VirtuaLab, where after a short hiatus, he then joined Convergence Promotions. |
